At the JERUSALEM DENTAL CENTER FOR CHILDREN, we use only the most modern equipment and methods of treatments. Our staff is comprised of dentists trained in North America’s top dental schools and in Israel, who bring unparalleled skills and expertise to their jobs.

We offer a wide range of services, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, routine restorative care, and orthodontics. But because many of the children who come to the JERUSALEM DENTAL CENTER FOR CHILDREN suffer from severe tooth decay – and need extensive treatment – we also offer specialized treatment programs aimed at alleviating children’s anxieties.

We ease the children into treatment by giving them a series of short appointments, instead of several long, painful ones. Our dentists gradually increase the intensity of the treatments, working slowly and carefully to minimize the pain.

This service obviates the need to send children who are especially fearful of dentists to the hospital, where they would receive treatment under general anesthesia. Such visits are not only extremely expensive, but also carry a certain element of danger and can be traumatic.

Emphasis on Prevention

We at the JERUSALEM DENTAL CENTER FOR CHILDREN understand that the best way to improve the dental health of Israel’s children is not just by providing them with dental care but also by being proactive and educating them and their families about the importance of proper dental care and nutrition.

Our staff has found that many parents in Israel simply don’t realize that putting their babies to sleep with bottles filled with sugary drinks, or giving their children large amounts of candy, is detrimental to their health.

To remedy this situation, we place great emphasis on prevention, educating parents and children about the need for ongoing dental care, good dental hygiene and proper nutrition.

A Growing Need

Thanks to the JERUSALEM DENTAL CENTER FOR CHILDREN’s emphasis on prevention, a growing number of families in Jerusalem now understand just how important quality dental care is and, as a result, the demand for our services is rising. Each of our dentists sees as many as 20 patients a day – not including emergencies – and there is a three-month waiting list for appointments.

We want to ensure that needy families throughout the city get the care they need in a timely fashion. Toward this end, we want to expand our facility and purchase more equipment so we can better meet the increase in demand.

We also plan to develop a wide-ranging prevention program for both parents and children, ensuring that the all-too-common visits to the emergency room are a thing of the past for Israel’s needy families.
